Satsunan Sugar has been making products from Okinawa and Kagoshima sugarcane since 1964.
This black sugar is made by mixing unrefined sugar, molasses produced by refining sugar and brown sugar, which is a slightly refined sugar.
This mixture gives these pieces of black sugar a sweet taste very characteristic of sugar cane.
Flavor:Sweet, slight licorice flavor.
Usage:Okinawa black sugar can be used in cooking and baking.
It can be mixed in a softened butter, it goes very well with chocolate and red fruits.
You can also sprinkle a little black sugar on top of the yogurt or nibble it as a treat.
