Organic shiso crispy flakes – 45 gr.
The crispy organic shiso flakes are reminiscent of furikake, which is often sprinkled on rice.
They are made from organic red shiso leaves grown in Wakayama.
To make 45 gr. of shiso flakes, no less than 237 shiso leaves are used!
They are mixed with salt and organic ume plum vinegar.
The shiso leaves are then dried according to the process that best brings out their color and intense flavor.
Flavor:A good balance between fruity and salty, with an intense shiso flavor reminiscent of blueberry and hibiscus.
Use: You can use the shiso flakes sprinkled on rice or onigiri.
But the possibilities of use are much wider!
Why not sprinkle them on cheese or mozzarella with a drizzle of olive oil?
The subtle salty taste of shiso flakes together with their intense shiso flavor combines well with fish, pastas and pizzas.
