The mikan is a very sweet kind of mandarin. In the past, it was the fruit the most eaten in Japan. This juice is produced with mikan grown in the region of Wakayama which is known all around Japan for its delicious mikan. They have been peeled one by one in order that only the slight peel that keeps the wedges together remains when the fruits are pressed. This special technique makes a juice very smooth with a sweet taste, just like the one of the fresh fruit you could eat.
Uses:
You can drink it just as it is, in cocktails or water down. It can also be used in pastry (mousses, icecreams, jellies,..).
