ERYTHRITOL POWDER Sugar substitute especially suitable for sweetening beverages and desserts in general.
Polyol carbohydrate obtained from glucose fermented with Moniliella pollinis yeast.
It has a sweetening power 0.6-0.7 times that of sugar (sucrose).
In nature it is found in fruits such as pears, melons and grapes, but also in other foods such as mushrooms and fermentation derivatives such as wine, cheese and soy sauce.
Unlike other polyols, Erythritöl does not cause digestive problems at high proportions.
Characteristics and applications:
- It is basically applied to sweeten beverages and diabetic products, in general, being the polyol most recommended by nutritionists.
- It has begun to be applied in the production of low-calorie ice cream, a demand that is clearly on the rise.
- Usual dose: depending on the preparation.
- Available in 700 g and 175 g packs.
