Lactose powder Stabiliser powder.
A disaccharide sugar consisting of a linked glucose and galactose that is commonly obtained from milk, as it is found in the milk of most mammals.
It has a mild flavour and low sweetness, so it is often used as a substitute for sugar to reduce the sweetness of the recipe without changing the solids content.
It is less soluble than table sugar.
It has virtually no fermentative power, so it is also used to sweeten fermented beverages.
It also has anti-wetting properties.
May contain milk.
Mix together with the rest of the ingredients.
