MALTITOL POWDER Very suitable as a sugar substitute for sweetening candies, chocolates, chewing gum and, above all, biscuit doughs.
It is obtained from the transformation of maltose obtained from starch.
It has a sweetening power 0.8 times that of sugar (sucrose).
Characteristics and applications:
- It is used in the manufacture of products such as chocolates, candies, chewing gum, cookies (in the dough to replace sucrose) and diabetic products in general.
- It is also widely used in ice cream production to obtain lower calorie and less sweet products.
- Usual dose: depending on the preparation.
- Available in 700 g and 175 g packs.
